A couple miles from our apartment there is a camel and a zebra in someones yard. I have yet to figure out if it is a private zoo or what...Sydney loves to go on drives and see them.

Yay for Grandma and Grandpa!

Grandma and Grandpa Durfee came clear out to Missouri for a visit this week. They stayed Saturday and Sunday, are at Nauvoo today and Tuesday and will be back for the baby excitement Wednesday to Sunday. Their birthdays were also this week so we had a cake. I took pity and only gave them one candle a piece. Poor mom was freezing in our house. I'm still rather warm carrying 30 extra lbs!

We took a drive to see the Missouri river. We also went on a walk, but Dad has all of those pictures on his camera.

Sydney is having withdrawls. David kept her so entertained yesterday she didn't throw any temper tantrums. She's making up for it today! She will be happy when they are back on Wednesday! Below is a video of her birthday present. Even Dad said it might be time to turn it off after listening to it for a half hour :) It's nice they got to experience the loud toy they gave her. She loves it of course.

Swimming

It is finally starting to cool off here in Columbia. We have had a heat wave for about the last two weeks, so we have been going to the pool to get out of the house. We love the little swimmers time at our local pool. It is $1 per person from 11am to noon. We've gone about four times and she loves it, though I haven't been able to get her to go down the water slide yet...It is nice that she is comfortable in the water since with child #2 coming in a week, I don't want to have two children clinging to me!
