New Camera Fun

We decided that we couldn't live without a camera; we couldn't let you miss all the cute things Sydney does! Yesterday she was trying to walk backward and I was sad not to capture it for your enjoyment. Hopefully she will do it again.

Sydney loves my purse. She grabbed it while we were in line at the store and had a fit when I took it away to find my debit card. She's happy as can be now that we're home and is reveling in the privilege of playing with it.

An Absentminded Mom

Yesterday we went to the St. Louis Zoo and had a great time. Unfortunately, there will not be any footage. Before loading Sydney into the car, I sat the camera on top of the car so that my hands wouldn't be full. I was in a hurry because it was so hot and jumped in the front seat to go. We drove off. I didn't realize what I'd done until we had been home for a couple of hours. So our camera is somewhere on the side of the road between Columbia and St. Louis. Sad!

Clap Clap

Sydney is finally learning how to clap. She is watching the car chase during the 2nd Matrix movie(in case you're wondering).

Pigtails with bows

Sydney's pigtails actually stayed in all through church! Andrew took some great pictures while I did all sorts of crazy things to try to make Sydney smile.

Sydney's Way

Sydney's way of looking at a book.

Sydney's way of reading a book.

A bird? A plane? A Squeaking Sydney!

Pigtails

Sydney is wearing a dress that Grandma Durfee gave to her. During breakfast I tricked Sydney into letting me do her hair. Church is still a couple hours away. I doubt that the pigtails will last that long. The only way I could get her to hold still to take pictures was to give her a book.

Latin Square

Sydney for her birthday got a set of 16 beads. They have six different colors and four different shapes. While playing with Sydney I decided to arrange them into a square so that none of the shapes repeat in each column or row and none of the colors repeat in each column or row. It was fun. Below is a picture of my efforts. It is difficult to tell the difference between orange and yellow in the picture. In case you were wondering, this is called a Latin square. Go to wikipedia and learn more if you'd like.

I WANT IT MOM!

Sydney was being sooooo cute; I thought I'd capture her for you all to enjoy. When she saw the camera, it was all over...

Stickers

Aunt Sara sent some stickers to Sydney for her birthday. Sydney has enjoyed them.
