Christmas!

Christmas was wonderful, though we missed all of you back home! Sydney had so much fun opening presents and we enjoyed watching her. She gets excited at each one.

Food. Yuck!

Soren has stopped sleeping through the night :( and has been acting extra hungry. So, I'm starting him on solid food. Rice cereal wasn't a hit. Neither was applesauce! He shivered and gagged like I was feeding him the worst thing ever.

Soren is a whopping 18 lbs 8 ounces and is 25 inches long.

I love to see them interact together! Soren thinks she is amazing. He smiles and giggles whenever she comes near.

We love to have friends over.

Since we aren't going home for Christmas this year :( we had to have our own tree. I actually was debating to buy one or not, but I went to visit a lady with four trees in her house and Sydney begged after that. She was desperate when we went by them in Walmart. I'm glad I crocheted the snowflakes last year so I had something to decorate it with.

This is the Magic Tree. We only live a mile from it, yet didn't even know it existed last year! It has 1000 strands of lights on it. Whenever we're in the car and it is after sunset, Sydney asks to drive by the Magic Tree. I didn't stop to take the picture so it is blurry...

Notice the bottom inside corner of his left eye(so on the right in the picture) a little sliver of brown. Otherwise, his eyes are grey...

I love this picture of Soren. I took it at cub scouts. The other den leader is holding him.

We had a fun lazy break here in Missouri. We went on walks and watched lots of football and are a little under the weather. Otherwise, life is great. Sydney is still camera shy, so sorry for no pictures. I did have the kids pictures taken a week ago, so I'll post some when they come. I think we might have even got a smile from Sydney.

Sydney loves to eat 'orange balls'(mandrin oranges). When I open the fridge she tries to wiggle her way in to steal one from the bottom shelf. Sydney had already eaten hers for lunch. She saw Andrew eating his and said "I want it". Andrew (who has a sinus infection) said, "I'd better not since I'm sick." Sydney quickly replied, "I'm sick too! Catch it to me."

Sydney has decided she doesn't like the camera. This video was taken a while ago, but it sums her up pretty well. "I don't smeel." (smile)

Soren

We keep trying to get Soren to laugh on camera, but he's usually all laughed out by the time I get the camera ready and ends up just sounding pained! He is very ticklish.

4 months: Soren & Sydney

Well Soren has survived to be four months old. He's cute and chunky. He has discovered his feet. Below are some comparisons. Sydney had more hair on top at 4 months, but less on the sides...
